Solana (SOL)

On 14 September 2021 the Solana network stopped producing blocks and stayed stopped for about seventeen hours. Restarting it required validator operators, coordinating in a chat channel, to agree on a ledger snapshot and boot the cluster together. That episode and the ones after it shaped how the market has priced Solana ever since. The last full mainnet halt was on 6 February 2024, more than two and a half years before this page was written.
