$2,033 billion changed hands in EUR/USD on an average day in April 2025. One pair, 21.2% of every foreign exchange trade on the planet, close to half again the size of the second-placed pair. That figure comes from the BIS Triennial Central Bank Survey published on 30 September 2025, the only census the market has.
