The Traders Spread is an analysis and broker-review site for retail traders. It runs six desks: forex and index CFDs, commodities, crypto, US stocks, prediction markets and brokers. This page sets out how the work is produced and what a reader can hold us to.
What we publish
Every analysis is about one named instrument and carries the date it was written. It sets out a base case, a bull case and a bear case with explicit price levels, states what would invalidate the call, and cites the data the argument rests on. When a piece records something that has already happened, it says so plainly, with the size of the move and the window it was measured over.
Prediction-market pieces take a single Polymarket or Kalshi contract and price it against polls, data and base rates. Each one states the market-implied probability, our own fair value and the difference between the two in percentage points. We describe how a price sits against our estimate; we do not tell readers which side to take.
Broker reviews look at what a trade actually costs and how safe the money is. The method and the weights behind every rating are on How we rate brokers.
Sources and numbers
Every figure carries a named source and a date in the text. Spot prices, odds and register data are taken from the primary source at the time of writing, never from a search summary. Where a number could not be verified against a primary source it is omitted or labelled as unverified rather than repeated.
How articles are produced
Research, data collection and drafting are done with the help of software tools and data pipelines built for the desks. The editor named in the byline is responsible for the analysis, checks it against the sources before publication, and answers for it afterwards. Author pages list each editor’s background and their published work.
Dates and updates
The date on an article is the date it was written. Markets move after publication, and an article is not updated unless it says so: an “Updated” date appears only when the text has been materially changed. Reviews that predate our 2026 review standard carry a notice saying so and are scheduled for a full rewrite.
Analysis, not advice
Nothing on this site is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any instrument, to open an account with any broker, or to take a position in a prediction market. The full statement is on the disclaimer.
Commercial relationships
Some links to brokers are affiliate or sponsored links, and The Traders Spread may be paid if a reader opens an account through them. Sponsored content is labelled as such. Payment never changes a rating or a verdict: every rating is derived from the written assessment using the weights published on the rating page, and broker links carryrel="sponsored" so search engines can see them for what they are. Advertising enquiries are handled separately from the desks — see Advertise with us.
Corrections
If a figure, level, quote or claim is wrong, we want to know. The process is on the corrections page; the address is info@thetradersspread.com.
