A Chiliz fan token does not take its price from the final whistle. The score can fill a group chat. The print moves when someone hits a book, and that book is quoted in a second asset, CHZ, which carries its own dollar rate, its own supply schedule and its own buyers.
A search for a chiliz fan token usually flattens that split. CHZ is the native token of Chiliz Chain. Club fan tokens are separate tokens, one per team. On 4 November 2026 CoinGecko’s Chiliz page, last updated at 07:55 UTC, showed CHZ at $0.01187743, a market cap of $125.8 million and 24-hour volume of $12.2 million, at rank 230. At 07:59 UTC Juventus printed $0.2594, Paris Saint-Germain $0.3719, Atlético Madrid $0.8582, FC Barcelona $0.2345 and AS Roma $0.7054, about $32.1 million of market cap and $5.59 million of volume together. Five dollar prints plus CHZ, an order of magnitude lower, share one morning and little else.
The path from cash to a dollar price is short. A buyer tops up CHZ and purchases the fan token with it, so the dollar cost is the fan token’s CHZ quote multiplied by the dollar price of CHZ. Move either number and the dollar price moves. A goal, a poll and a stack of reward points can all change while both numbers sit still. The sections below rank the flows that touch one of those two numbers, then the flows that only resemble a price.

1) The Socios bid is the first print
Inside the Socios app the fan token has a price because someone is willing to part with CHZ for it. The wallet guide at socios.com, dated 3 January 2025, walks through a top-up in ordinary money that arrives as CHZ, then names the trade: using CHZ to buy fan tokens. The transfer runs on Chiliz Chain, and gas is paid in CHZ. The guide calls a failed match slippage, the gap between the price the order expected and the price the book offered.
An order that can miss its price is an order on a book, a different object from a season ticket the club reprices once a year. During an offering the seller does set a dollar issue price. Chiliz’s note of 1 June 2026 put 2,000,000 Belgium fan tokens on sale at $1.00 each, from 10:00 CEST on 3 June until 10:00 CEST on 4 June, or until the allocation was gone. For the first six hours each buyer was limited to 100 tokens. Unclaimed tokens were scheduled for an airdrop from 10 June.
Even that fixed dollar tag was settled in CHZ. The same note says the CHZ used for the loyalty snapshot followed the CHZ/USD conversion rate, and that a later move in CHZ could leave a subscriber with fewer Belgium tokens than the snapshot implied, repaired by a top-up airdrop on the 10% loyalty bonus. The buyer’s CHZ balance and the CHZ dollar rate jointly decide how many fan tokens come back.
Once the offering inventory is gone, the app is a secondary market. The how-it-works page on Socios, opened on 4 November 2026, still lists the path as top up, buy the fan token, then stake, with tokens returning to the market after a seven-day cool-off. The first flow is that screen, where the exchange can fail because the price moved.
2) The CHZ dollar rate multiplies every quote
A fan token quoted at 80 CHZ costs about $0.95 when CHZ is $0.01188, and about twice that when CHZ is $0.0238, with the fan token’s own quote untouched. The dollar figure on a screenshot is that product.
The daily series opens on 5 November 2025 at $0.02804 and closes on 4 November 2026 at $0.01189, a fall of about 57.6%, beside a rolling one-year change of minus 58.4% on the coin page. CoinGecko’s all-time high is $0.878633 on 13 March 2021, and the all-time low is $0.00410887 on 27 September 2019. That span is the width of the rate multiplied into every CHZ-quoted fan token.
Shorter windows on the same page were plus 1.0% over 24 hours, minus 8.1% over seven days and minus 29.8% over 30 days, so a flat CHZ quote through October would still have shown a large dollar decline. Reported 24-hour turnover was $12.2 million at 07:55 UTC, against a median of about $36.5 million across the 365 daily observations. A 5 June 2026 print near $636 million stands several times either neighbouring day and is carried as a CoinGecko observation.
Gas sits beside the rate as a separate line. The January 2025 wallet guide says gas is paid in CHZ, a toll for writing the transfer, separate from the CHZ handed over for the fan token. The same split, fee versus price, is set out for another venue in how Raydium sets the fee a swap actually pays.
3) Offerings cap the float
CHZ supply is open-ended, while a club fan token, in the sales Chiliz publishes, is closed.
The Pepper8 note on docs.chiliz.com, applied on 27 August 2025, starts its supply table at 8,888,888,888 CHZ. Dragon8 inflated that base from 8.80% in year one toward a 1.88% floor. Pepper8 shifted the middle years for the Paribu Net migration: year three begins at 10,516,081,346 CHZ at 5.530%, and from year eight the older path resumes. CoinGecko on 4 November 2026 showed 10,594,892,141 CHZ circulating out of 10,595,222,522 total, so fully diluted value sat on the market cap. An empty max-supply field matches a floor that keeps running, and none of it mints an extra club token.
Belgium is the other design: two million tokens at a dollar issue price, then a secondary buyer who meets an existing holder. The Chiliz homepage, opened the same morning, counts 70 or more official fan tokens, more than two million fan-token wallets and 11 or more validators. Franchise count, tokens inside one offering, and the 10.59 billion CHZ figure answer three different questions.
Atlético Madrid at $0.8582, with about $2.04 million of 24-hour volume, was the richest and the busiest of the five club prints that morning, while Barcelona at $0.2345, on about $853,000 of volume, was the cheapest. Offering size and each book’s own orders sit downstream of the shared CHZ rate, and the gaps are wide enough that the shared rate leaves most of the difference unexplained.
4) A second venue can lead the app
Socios is the venue Chiliz documents as the home of the purchase. Another print can form elsewhere, and for at least one new token the company has said so in its own words.
On 20 October 2026 Chiliz wrote that the Palermo fan token was trading on Meteora. The pool price comes from trading activity rather than from a centralised order book, and a Solana wallet can swap USDC for the token through Jupiter. A USDC pool prices that fan token directly in dollars, so the CHZ multiplier sits idle there. If the pool and the Socios CHZ market diverge, the print that updates is the one that just traded.
Chiliz points readers to KayenFi as a decentralised exchange specialising in fan tokens, and its navigation describes a bridge toward Solana and Base. CoinGecko’s profile, read on 4 November 2026, lists contract addresses on Ethereum, Solana and Base. On 30 October 2026 the official account said CHZ or fan tokens may sit on Socios, on an exchange, or in a wallet the holder controls.

Whether you hold them on https://t.co/YY727wnj8s, an exchange or your own wallet, good security habits go a long way.
🧵 Here are six simple ways to give your assets an extra layer of protection. pic.twitter.com/W5LjyWRNpt
A Socios balance, an exchange balance and a self-custody balance are three inventories, and only the venue that receives tokens can reprice them. A Curve stableswap sets a price from the pool that actually trades for the same reason: the formula sees the tokens that arrive.
Rank 230 and $12.2 million of aggregate turnover mean the CHZ multiplier is being set on exchange volume outside the Socios app. The dollar screenshot still needs the club quote, and a check on whether a stablecoin pool has opened a third number, as Palermo’s has.
5) Staking pulls tokens off the book
Fan-token staking pays reward points, not a second price. Chiliz’s announcement of 18 February 2025 says holders lock fan tokens, receive points once a day at midnight UTC, and may unstake when they choose, at which point the points stop. The tokens become claimable for trading only after a seven-day cooldown. The formula uses the fan token’s market cap and price, so the quote feeds the rewards, and the rewards are spent in the app. The how-it-works page, opened on 4 November 2026, repeats the cool-off and adds that in-app staking and reward points sit outside MiCA.
Tokens inside the cooldown are absent from the sellable book, so an unstake reaches the bid a week later, while a fresh stake pulls offers off the screen. Points scale with the token’s price, so a higher quote can draw more tokens off an already thin book. The loop enters the price by changing how many tokens are offered.
CHZ staking is a different lock. Pepper8 is validator agreement on inflation, and the homepage counts 11 or more validators, while fan-token staking locks the club token for points. On 29 October 2026 the Chiliz account relayed chief executive Alex Dreyfus saying governance and staking were live again after a pending update. While that contract is paused, the lock that changes the float is unavailable.

Reward accounting and market price come apart on other networks too. Lido’s daily stETH rebase is a reward calculated on a schedule from a balance, while the token people trade has a separate market. Fan-token points are the same split in a cruder form: a points balance on one side, and the fan token, tradable once the cooldown has finished, on the other.
6) Attention, polls, points, and the burn
Four headlines draw a crowd and leave the fan token’s quote where it was, unless someone then places an order.
A match changes who is watching, and some of those people may place the order in the first section. The Belgium issue price is a dollar tag converted through CHZ, with the scoreline absent from that formula. A binding poll, listed in the Belgium note and the February 2025 staking note, counts eligible tokens and settles a club decision. Reward points spend a points balance and leave the fan-token balance where it was. The market quote is the fan-token balance that meets a bid.
The burn is a buy of CHZ, funded by fan-token turnover. Burn report #7, published 26 October 2026, says Chiliz takes 10% of proceeds from fan-token transactions and marketplace activity, buys CHZ, and sends it to the zero address. The 28 September 2026 execution, at 11:18 UTC, removed 7,399,831 CHZ, estimated at $122,704, against a cumulative 69,918,100 CHZ. The hash on that burn is 0x84c01798cb7b5ebc943b7cdd1389043107e558081af9dfab1a44d274e2ebee17. The order hits CHZ’s book after the fan-token trades have already printed.
| Flow | What it hits | Effect on the dollar price |
|---|---|---|
| Socios trade in CHZ | That fan token’s CHZ quote | Changes the quote the dollar rate multiplies |
| CHZ/USD rate | Every CHZ-quoted fan token | Changes the dollar price while the CHZ quote is unchanged |
| Offering cap | Float of that one token | Limits how many tokens the book can absorb |
| Pool or exchange trade | The venue that is hit | Can print a second price, including in USDC |
| Seven-day unstake cooldown | Sellable balance | Holds tokens out of the book until claim |
| 10% proceeds burn | CHZ, through a buyback | Removes CHZ, with fan-token turnover as the fee base |
| Match, poll, reward points | Holder activity | Leaves the quote and the CHZ rate untouched until an order follows |
The first two rows are the product. The next three change how thick the book is, or open another book. The last two reach a fan-token print only when they provoke one of the rows above.
FAQ
Is CHZ the same asset as a club fan token?
CHZ is the native token of Chiliz Chain, the gas token, and the balance Socios takes when a fan token is purchased in the app. Each club fan token is a separate asset with its own offering and its own book. On 4 November 2026 CHZ printed at $0.01188 while five large club tokens printed between $0.23 and $0.86. Same morning, different assets, different floats.
Does a match result set the fan-token price?
A result can change how many supporters open the app, and the price changes when a bid is matched or a pool swap moves the reserves. Chiliz’s Belgium note of 1 June 2026 sets the issue price at $1.00 and settles it through the CHZ conversion rate. Polls, reward points and experiences are the utility list. The scoreline is absent from the terms that set the tag.
How does the Socios screen arrive at a price?
The wallet guide on socios.com, dated 3 January 2025, tells a buyer to top up CHZ and then use CHZ to buy the fan token, with gas also paid in CHZ. During an offering the dollar issue price converts into a CHZ amount, so a move in CHZ changes how many fan tokens a given balance receives. After the sale, the screen matches sellers asking in CHZ, and the order can fail when slippage is exceeded.
Can a fan token trade away from the Socios quote?
A fan token can print a second price away from the app. Chiliz wrote on 20 October 2026 that Palermo’s Meteora pool sets a price from trading, and that a Solana wallet can swap USDC for the token. The same asset can sit on Socios, on an exchange, or in self-custody. The venue that receives the order is the one that reprints.
What does fan-token staking change in the market?
Staking pays reward points, not a second price. The 18 February 2025 note says points arrive once a day at midnight UTC and scale with that fan token’s market cap and price. Unstaking stops the points at once, and the tokens return to trading only after a seven-day cooldown, which the Socios how-it-works page still described on 4 November 2026. Points are spent on rewards inside the app. The tradable quote remains the fan token itself.
Verdict
The dollar price of a Chiliz fan token is a CHZ-denominated quote multiplied by the CHZ dollar rate, inside a supply capped at the offering. The quote moves when Socios, a pool or an exchange matches a trade, or when the seven-day staking cooldown changes how many tokens are offered. The rate moves on CHZ’s own volume, with an assist from the 10% buyback that fan-token fees fund. Matches, polls and reward points reach the print only by becoming one of those orders.
Reference figures above are dated prints from the sources named beside them. They are not a recommendation to buy or sell any asset, and they do not set a price target.
