Alpari Review 2026: EUR/USD Ticket Is $25 at Close

Alpari's public EUR/USD quote closed on Friday at 2.5 pips, a $25 standard-lot ticket. Its Pro ECN pages give three different readings of the $2.50 fee.

That has no bearing on the rating, which is derived from the written assessment (costs 35%, safety 30%, platforms 20%, funding 15%). Analysis and information, not advice.

What does an Alpari EUR/USD ticket actually cost once the week has already closed? On 10 October 2026 the public rate feed at alpari.com still carried Friday's last print: bid 1.12008, ask 1.12033, timestamp 21:54:59 UTC on 9 October, spread field 2.5. Ask minus bid is 0.00025, the same 2.5 pips. The contract on the unsuffixed EURUSD symbol is 100,000 currency units, and one pip on that lot is worth $10. Crossing the quote and crossing back, with the price left where it was, costs $25. The spread is already that whole gap. It is the round turn on an unchanged market, not a one-sided charge that still needs doubling. Standard's own FAQ says the spread can widen past a 1.2-pip floor. This print is that widening, with a clock on it.

The pages that sell the account do not show $25, and they do not agree with each other on the commission either. Standard says no commission and spreads from 1.2 pips. ECN says zero commission, then says 0.1 pips in the introduction and 0.8 pips in the FAQ. Pro ECN says forex is "$2.5 per lot traded". The help page adds "($5 round turn)". The calculator prints $6.67 in one example and $0.53 in another. At Friday's ask of 1.12033 those Pro readings land near $5.60, at a flat $5.00, and near $0.56. A reader who averages them has invented a fourth number the site never published.

What the Friday print actually charges

The feed is a JSON file. Retrieved again on 10 October 2026, EURUSD came back with five digits, bid 1.12008, ask 1.12033, spread 2.5, and a timestamp that had not moved: 2026-10-09T21:54:59Z. The contract specification lists trading from 00:15 to 23:55, Monday to Friday, and empty sessions on Saturday and Sunday. A frozen Friday print is what that schedule predicts.

Pip value is arithmetic. On the Pro ECN MT5 view of the contract specifications, EURUSD shows a contract size of 100000, minimum volume 0.01, and commission "Yes". A move of 0.0001 on 100,000 euro is $10. Two and a half of those moves is $25. The quote says the same thing: 1.12033 minus 1.12008 is 0.00025, and 0.00025 times 100,000 is $25.

Deal at the ask and later at the same bid, and the loss is the spread once. Doubling $25 would count the round turn twice. The minimum-spread cell on the EURUSD row is blank, null in the page data, so no average is published. The feed prices unsuffixed EURUSD. In the site's instrument map that symbol is enabled at a contract of 100,000, and EURUSD_p is disabled. The feed does not say whether 2.5 pips is Standard, ECN or Pro.

The ECB reference for 9 October 2026 was 1.1206 dollars per euro, from the Frankfurter record of the ECB fix. Alpari's mid, halfway between 1.12008 and 1.12033, is 1.120205. About four tenths of a pip separate them. The pair's path is a different article, the EUR/USD forecast. No number in that forecast is a broker cost.

Three readings of the same $2.50

Commission, on Alpari's help page, is charged only on Pro ECN. The rate is the same on MT4 and MT5. The timing is not. MT4 takes the full open-and-close commission when the trade is opened. MT5 takes half at the open and half at the close. The forex row reads: "Fixed at $2.5 per lot traded ($5 round turn)". Stock CFDs on the same page are "$0.02 per side/lot". The forex line does not say "per side". The parenthetical is what turns $2.50 into $5.

The Pro ECN account page stops at "Forex: $2.5 per lot traded". The FAQ says spreads start at 0.0 pips and may widen. Minimum deposit is $500. Platforms named are MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. No live EUR/USD spread is printed, and the specification's minimum-spread cell is blank. The public $25 is not a Pro all-in. There is no Pro print to add a commission to.

The calculator breaks the phrase. Its MT4 formula, contract size times the USD rate divided by 1,000,000, times 2.5, times 2, is worked at 1.33470 on 100,000 euro and stated as 6.67 USD. Typed as written, that formula equals $0.667. The printed $6.67 instead matches 1.33470 times 5, five dollars times the rate. At Friday's ask, that method is $5.60, not the help page's flat $5.00.

The MT5 formula on the same page charges (price times lots times contract size) times 2.5 / 1,000,000 on the open, and the same term on the close. The example opens at 1.0846 and closes at 1.0246. The page states $0.27 plus $0.26, total $0.53. A note says the 2.5 USD is calculated on a nominal position of 1,000,000 USD. That sentence fits the $0.53 example. It does not fit a flat $5.

On Friday's quote that MT5 formula is about $0.28 at the ask and $0.28 at the bid, roughly $0.56 round turn. Next to $5.00 and $5.60, the largest is about ten times the smallest. This review does not headline a Pro commission until the pages agree.

Standard, ECN, and the floors under the print

On the Standard account page the heading is "Tight spreads. No commission." The glance line is "From 1.2 pips", the margin ratio is up to 1:1000, and the minimum deposit is $100. The FAQ says there is no commission, spreads start at 1.2 pips per trade, and the spread can increase with the instrument and the conditions. A 2.5-pip Friday print fits the second sentence. It does not fit "from 1.2".

The fees page names the commission-free books: "Our ECN MT4, Standard MT4 and MT5 accounts are commission-free accounts." If the public print is one of those books, the all-in ticket is the spread alone. At this close, $25.

The ECN page is less stable. The introduction says spreads from as low as 0.1 pips. The glance says "From 0.8 pips". The FAQ says there is no commission, spreads start at 0.8 pips, and the minimum deposit is $300. A 0.1-pip floor is a $1 spread. A 0.8-pip floor is $8. Both sentences were on the page. The Friday print, at $25, is above either floor. The page allows that. It does not say which floor is the offer.

Deposits printed in the Standard page's comparison block run $30, $100, $300, $500. The account pages themselves confirm $100, $300 and $500. This review does not assign the other cells, including margin ratios up to 1:3000, where the column is not labelled in the extract. Overnight points on the Pro ECN MT5 row are −6.97 and 1.68, "By points". No point value is printed, so they stay in points.

Peers on the same lot, from their own pages

The chart ranks four round-turn figures in US dollars on one standard lot. Alpari is the Friday 21:54 UTC close. Commission is not added, because the feed names no account and the commission-free pages would add zero. The other bars are a published typical or average spread, at $10 a pip, plus the round-turn commission that page states. A close print is the wide end of a week. An average includes the hours when the book is tight. The labels have to say so, or the chart launders one measurement into the other.

On the Tickmill Europe Raw page, commission is "$3 per lot per side". The worked example is one EURUSD lot, contract 100,000 euro: 3 USD a side and 6 USD round turn. The spreads page lists EURUSD minimum 0 and typical 0.1, which is $1.00. Plus $6.00, the all-in is $7.00. No TradingView tier at $7 appears on this EU page. The Tickmill review is earlier. Today's $7.00 is from these pages. The footer is Tickmill Europe Ltd, CySEC CIF 278/15, office at Spyrou Kyprianou 77, 5th floor, 3076 Limassol. Number 75473 there is the German cross-entry, not the CySEC licence. The page says 74 percent of its retail CFD accounts lose money.

IC's pages resolved to ic.com and name Raw Trading Ltd, Seychelles number 8419879-1, licence SD018. IC Markets (EU) Ltd, CySEC 362/18, is a separate company on that page. The Raw account page says the average EUR/USD spread is 0.1 pips and the commission is $3.50 per lot per side. The spreads table states "USD 3.50 (USD 7.0 round turn)" for a MetaTrader standard lot. Standard MetaTrader there is $0 a side. A 0.1-pip average plus $7.00 is $8.00, and that is the bar.

The Raw average cell on the same table is 0.01, not 0.1. EURUSD reads raw minimum 0, raw average 0.01, standard minimum 0.8, standard average 0.1. Using 0.01 would make the all-in $7.10. Both figures are published. cTrader and TradingView are a third figure: $3 per 100,000 USD per side. Their example, at 1.30 then 1.31, is $3.90 plus $3.93, or $7.83 before the spread. That tier is not the bar. The IC Markets review compares accounts. It is not the source of these cells.

Pepperstone is the en-gb spreads page: Pepperstone Limited, company 08965105, FCA 684312, 4th Floor, 27 Old Jewry, London, EC2R 8DQ. EURUSD is Razor minimum 0, Razor average 0.1, Standard minimum 1, Standard average 1.1. The window is 1 to 31 August 2026, all sessions, including rollover. Standard CFD forex has no commission. Razor, on the MT4/MT5 table retrieved with the page, is $3.50 per standard lot per side in USD, so $7.00 round turn. The 0.1-pip average is $1.00. All-in $8.00. A non-USD account, the page says, has that $3.50 converted at spot. This bar is already in USD, so the ECB's 9 October AUD rate of 1.6052 was not applied. The Pepperstone review measured an AUD presentation. This $8.00 did not come from it.

$7.00, $8.00, $8.00, and a Friday close at $25.00. The last of those is the only Alpari EUR/USD cost with a timestamped bid and ask behind it.

The firm on the licence

The footer, retrieved 10 October 2026, names Alpari as the trading name of Parlance Trading Ltd, Bonovo Road, Fomboni, Island of Mohéli, Comoros Union, company HY00423015, licensed by the Mwali International Services Authority under T2023236. The about page repeats that number under "Licensed by MISA". Copyright runs "© 1998-2026". A timeline line says the doors opened on 24 December. "World's first online platform" and "more than 1 million clients" are the company's own wording.

The register did not open. Requests to mwaliregistrar.com on 10 October 2026 returned a Cloudflare challenge, not a firm record. No start date and no end date is taken from anywhere else. Until that register returns Parlance Trading Ltd and T2023236, the licence rests on Alpari's own page.

This is not an FCA, ASIC or CySEC contract. The retail entity on the pages we measured is the Comoros company. The footer says Alpari does not provide services to residents of the USA, Japan, Canada, the Democratic Republic of Korea, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Myanmar, India, Azerbaijan, Syria, Sudan and Cuba. A UK or EU resident is outside that perimeter.

RelatedMarkets.com Review 2026: Safecap Holds the CFD Contract

The photograph at the top is the Fomboni waterfront, the town in the registered address, with the ferry ILE DE MOHELI in the harbour. It is not an office on Bonovo Road, and it is not a regulator's building. A helpline is printed, +44 2045 771 951. A London dialling code is a contact detail, not a UK authorisation.

A 2.8 that can move

The rating is 2.8 out of 5. It judges the pages retrieved on 10 October 2026. It is not a forecast, and it is not a suggestion to start or end a relationship with the firm.

What holds it up: a timestamped bid and ask whose spread field matches the gap. A published contract size, so the $25 is a calculation. Standard and ECN FAQs that put commission at zero, which makes the spread the whole ticket on those accounts. A legal name, an address, a company number and a licence number printed in the footer. A Friday mid within half a pip of the ECB reference, so the feed is not a leftover widget from another year.

What holds it down: the only measured EUR/USD ticket is $25 at the close, against marketing floors of 0.0 to 1.2 pips, and an ECN page that says both 0.1 and 0.8. The Pro commission is about $0.56, $5.00 or $5.60 depending on which sentence is the formula, and the calculator's typeset MT4 formula does not produce the $6.67 printed next to it. The MISA register did not load. The United Kingdom and the European Union are on the exclusion list.

Three changes would move the rating up, and only if they are on a page that can be quoted. One commission document whose formula, worked example and round-turn parenthetical describe the same dollars. A register extract showing Parlance Trading Ltd and T2023236 as current, with dates. A timestamped average EUR/USD spread, by account, in place of a single Friday print and a set of "from" floors. The rating moves down if the next retrievable print is wider than 2.5 pips with no disclosure beside it, or if the footer licence number changes while the register still will not open.

The $25 is the cost of crossing a quote. It is not a view on where EUR/USD goes next.

Questions the cost pages actually answer

What did the Alpari EUR/USD ticket cost at the Friday close?

The public feed, retrieved 10 October 2026, showed bid 1.12008 and ask 1.12033 at 21:54:59 UTC on 9 October. The spread was 2.5 pips. On the 100,000-unit contract, one pip is $10, so the round turn on an unchanged quote is $25. That is the spread once, not twice. The feed does not name the account.

Is the Pro ECN commission a flat $5 round turn?

The help page says "Fixed at $2.5 per lot traded ($5 round turn)". The calculator prints $6.67 for an MT4 example at 1.33470, which is $5 times that rate, while the formula as typeset equals $0.67. The MT5 example on the same page totals $0.53. At Friday's quote those readings are about $5.60, a flat $5.00, and about $0.56. They do not agree.

Which company takes the contract?

The footer names Parlance Trading Ltd, Bonovo Road, Fomboni, Mohéli, Comoros Union, company HY00423015, licensed by the Mwali International Services Authority under T2023236. The register site did not load on 10 October 2026. This is not an FCA, ASIC or CySEC firm. UK and EU residents are on the exclusion list printed in the footer.

How does $25 compare with Tickmill, IC Markets and Pepperstone?

From each firm's own page on 10 October 2026: Tickmill Europe Raw is a 0.1 typical pip plus $6.00 commission, $7.00 all-in. IC Raw on MetaTrader is a stated 0.1-pip average plus $7.00, so $8.00, or $7.10 if you use the table's 0.01 raw average. Pepperstone Limited's USD Razor average for August 2026 plus $7.00 is $8.00. Alpari's bar is a close print, not an average.

Does the 2.5-pip print already include commission?

The rate feed reports bid, ask and spread. It does not report a commission. Standard and ECN pages say those accounts have no commission, so on those accounts the spread is the ticket. Pro ECN adds a commission the site describes in three ways that do not match. That commission is not inside the 2.5-pip field, and it is not added to the $25 bar.
