DAX

DAX or Deutscher Aktienindex is the benchmark index of the German Stock Exchange of Frankfurt. DAX includes the most prominent 30 stocks of companies traded on the German exchange, ranked after capitalization. 

The companies included in this index represent approximately 75% of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The index was created in 1988 and is updated regularly. Members qualifying in the top 25 largest companies are added, but if they rank below the position 45, they are removed.
