StarTrader’s Mauritius client agreement lets the firm add a transaction fee of up to 10% of the overnight swap on a Margin FX order, and a EUR/USD position that stays open past the trading day sits inside that clause. The Prime ECN page leads with a commission of USD 2 per standard FX or gold lot, per side. The contract then adds a cash line that appears only after the position is held overnight. A same-day round trip leaves the swap and that 10% fee at zero, so the ticket depends on the clock as much as on the account name.
Four separate charges can sit on the ticket: the spread between bid and ask, a cash commission per lot, the overnight swap, and a transaction fee of up to 10% of that swap. Updated 1 November 2026, from the brand pages and the Mauritius PDF opened the same day. A standard lot on the product list opened with those pages is 100,000 euro, so two dollars a side is four dollars round turn. Four dollars is the Prime commission floor, and it leaves the spread, the swap, and the percentage fee still to be read.
Key facts, each tied to the page retrieved on 1 November 2026.
- Prime ECN commission is USD 2 per standard FX or gold lot, per side, and the same page also prints commissions as low as USD 4 per lot (startrader.com/prime-ecn-account, 1 November 2026).
- Keeping Prime status requires at least five closed trades and at least USD 500,000 of notional value inside any continuous 30-day period in the past 90 days, per trading account (startrader.com/prime-ecn-account, 1 November 2026).
- A Margin FX order held overnight can carry a transaction fee of up to 10% of the swap charge or the swap credit, applied at the beginning of the next trading day (STARTRADER Financial Markets Limited client agreement, clause 5.1(d), retrieved 1 November 2026).
- The STP/ECN product list prints EURUSD+ as a spot contract of 100,000 euro with a point value of 1.0 US dollar per pipette (stp-ecn-product-list-cn-20261026.pdf, retrieved 1 November 2026).
- Tickmill Europe’s Raw example prices 1 lot of EURUSD, contract size 100,000 euro, at 3 USD per side and 6 USD round turn (tickmill.com Raw account page, EU text, 1 November 2026).
- Pepperstone Group Limited prices Razor commission on its own platform at 3.5 USD per standard FX lot per side, and prices cTrader at 6 USD round trip (pepperstone.com/en-au/trading/costs-and-fees, 1 November 2026).
- Raw Trading Ltd’s Raw Spread table prints USD 3.50 per lot per side, which the same table states as USD 7.00 round turn (ic.com/en/start-forex-trading, 1 November 2026).
What are the four lines on a StarTrader EUR/USD ticket?
A newer trader can treat the ticket as a bill with a time switch. The fill includes the spread, and a commission account adds a per-lot cash charge. Clause 5.1(f) sets the swap and the transaction fee to zero when the order opens and closes on the same trading day. An overnight hold brings the swap differential and, under clause 5.1(d), a fee of up to 10% of that swap.
The commission figure lives on the Prime ECN page, and the percentage fee lives in the client agreement PDF for STARTRADER Financial Markets Limited. Both were opened on 1 November 2026.
| Line | What it charges | When it applies | Figure opened on 1 November 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spread | Gap between bid and ask | Every fill | Prime floor 0.0 pips; Standard floor 1.3 pips; a typical EUR/USD spread is absent from the opened pages |
| Commission | Cash charge per lot | Prime, and the middle ECN card | Prime USD 2 per side, stated again as USD 4 per lot; middle ECN dollar amount unpublished; Standard FX commission zero, with an exception for indices |
| Swap | Bought swap rate versus sell swap rate | Held overnight | Differential of the two rates; a Wednesday close adjusts the FX swap through Monday; live EUR/USD points unpublished |
| Swap transaction fee | Up to 10% of the swap charge or credit | Held overnight | Clause 5.1(d); calculated at the start of the next trading day; zero on a same-day round trip |
An index, in the exception on the Standard card, means a stock-index CFD, a contract on a share-market benchmark. EUR/USD is a currency pair, so the index exception stays off this ticket. The Standard card on the accounts page says “No commission on trades (except indices).” Read that as a zero commission on the currency pair, with the exception reserved for those index contracts.
The 0.0 pip line is a floor. The accounts page warns that spreads may vary, and the product list that names EURUSD+ leaves the spread cell empty, so a quiet-hour average is unpublished.
Which account prints the USD 2, and what does Prime status require?
StarTrader lists three live tiers on the accounts page, plus a demo. Standard is described as the account for new traders handling small volume. ECN, the electronic-communication-network label the firm uses for its commission book, is described as the account for high-volume traders and managers. Prime ECN is described as the account for experienced traders. All three cards list MT4, MT5, WebTrader, and the app, a minimum volume of 0.01 lots, market execution, and account currencies of AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, USD, and NZD.
Standard spreads are “as low as 1.3 pips,” apart from the index exception already quoted. The middle ECN card says “ultra-tight spreads” and “competitive commission per lot traded,” and the dollar amount is absent from the English accounts page, the Prime page, and the Mauritius fee clause. The products page at startrader.com/products-en-eu returned a block on both attempts, so the contract row comes from the Chinese PDF.
| Tier | How the accounts page describes it | Spread | Commission | Gate the page prints |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | New traders, small volume | As low as 1.3 pips | Zero on trades, with an exception for indices | Minimum volume 0.01 lots; a deposit minimum is absent from the card |
| ECN | High-volume traders and managers | Ultra-tight, with the pip floor unpublished | Competitive per lot, dollar amount unpublished | Minimum volume 0.01 lots |
| Prime ECN | Experienced traders | As low as 0.0 pips | USD 2 per standard FX or gold lot, per side | USD 10,000 minimum, then an activity test to keep the tier |
The Prime page is more specific, and it is also uneven. The opening definition says the account offers commissions of just USD 2 per standard FX or gold lot, per side. A later block says commissions as low as USD 4 per lot, and the FAQ repeats low commissions from USD 4 per lot. Those sentences match once “per lot” is read as the round turn: USD 2 to open and USD 2 to close. Platforms are MT4, MT5, and the web and mobile apps. The FAQ lists forex, commodities, indices, shares, and ETFs.
The balance gate is USD 10,000, and an ECN account already at that balance skips a further deposit. The upgrade is to close every open position, then email the account manager or info@startrader.com. Keeping Prime needs, inside any continuous 30-day period in the past 90 days, at least five closed trades and at least USD 500,000 of notional per account. Miss the window and the tier is downgraded. A return needs equity of USD 10,000 or more, new deposits after the downgrade, and another email.
The fifth FAQ on the same URL treats the USD 10,000 minimum as the whole qualification story, while the maintenance section sets the five-trade and USD 500,000 test that decides whether the USD 2 rate survives the next review cycle. The lot count behind that notional moves with the exchange rate on a 100,000 euro contract.
Where does the 10% fee sit, and which charges stay off the currency ticket?
The agreement defines Close of Business as 22:00 GMT. For Margin FX, clause 5.1(a) sets the swap as the differential between the bought swap rate, the interest rate on the base currency, and the sell swap rate, the interest rate on the term currency. On EUR/USD the base is the euro and the term is the US dollar, and the long or short side decides which party receives the differential. The live points for EUR/USD were absent from the website pages opened on 1 November 2026, so the clause explains the method and leaves the day’s number on the platform.
Clause 5.1(c) adjusts a Wednesday hold so the FX swap runs through Monday, and clause 5.1(e) books the swap and the fee at the start of the next trading day. Clause 5.1(d) is the 10% line, owed on an overnight Margin FX order, up to a tenth of the swap charge or the swap credit. A USD 10 swap would make that add-on as much as USD 1, as arithmetic only, because the opened pages left the day’s EUR/USD points unpublished.
The definitions set the Reference Interest Rate as the liquidity-provider rate plus a transaction fee of 3.5% per annum, and clause 5.2 uses that rate on an overnight spot CFD. Margin FX stays in clause 5.1. The 3.5% figure is the spot-CFD add-on, and placing it on the EUR/USD ticket would mix the two clauses.
Swap-free accounts, clause 5.5, pay an administrative fee in place of the swap, and converting a regular account requires every position to be closed. Funding sits off the ticket: the funding page sets deposit fees at zero and withdrawal fees at zero in most countries, while international telegraphic-transfer fees charged by the bank are passed to the client, most of them approximately USD 20, and withdrawal forms received after 21:00 GMT wait until the next day.
How big is one EUR/USD lot, and what does the product sheet actually print?
The contract row is in stp-ecn-product-list-cn-20261026.pdf, opened on 1 November 2026. EURUSD+ is 欧元兑美元, type 现货, spot, with margin currency EUR, a leverage cell of 1000, a point value of 1.0 US dollar per 小点, a minimum of 0.01 lots, a maximum of 100, and a contract of 100,000 euro. Hours run Monday to Thursday 00:01 to 23:58 and Friday 00:01 to 23:57.
A pip on EUR/USD is the 0.0001 step, and the sheet’s 小点 is the 0.00001 pipette priced at 1.0 US dollar, about 10 US dollars a pip on the 100,000 euro contract. EURUSD+ carries a commission amount in neither the header nor the row, so the dollar figure used here is the English Prime page. Leverage of 1,000 is that PDF’s cell beside the euro margin currency, while the brand assigns the company by location, so the cell is the published specification. Tickmill and Pepperstone define the same 100,000-unit lot. Errante’s EUR/USD ticket and the company that holds the contract separates holder from price in the same way.
How do the opened peer schedules compare on one round turn?
Three peer sites returned a usable commission on 1 November 2026, and each figure below is from that firm’s own page. StarTrader’s Prime page also prints a comparison column naming other brokers. Those cells are left out of the chart, because a broker’s advertisement of a rival’s price is a different document from the rival’s own schedule.
Pepperstone Group Limited, ACN 147 055 703 and AFSL 414530, is the company in the Financial Services Guide dated September 2024 and opened on 1 November 2026. Razor commission is from USD$3.50 per lot per side on margin FX and spot gold, labelled in US dollars. cTrader is 6 USD round trip, TradingView is 7 USD round trip, and the Pepperstone platform is 3.5 USD per standard FX lot per side. The MT4 and MT5 currency grid stayed collapsed, so the chart uses those dollar lines. EURUSD minimum spreads print as 0 on Razor and 1 on Standard, Standard margin FX adds a 1 pip markup with a zero commission, and a position open past 5pm New York takes a tom-next swap, tripled on Wednesday for a T+2 pair.
Tickmill’s unprefixed raw-account URL geo-served the European entity. The risk warning names Tickmill Europe Ltd and states that 74% of retail investor accounts lose money trading CFDs with that company, and the licences page lists it as a Cyprus investment firm, CySEC 278/15. Raw commission is $3 per side per lot, or the account-currency equivalent, and the page’s own EURUSD example is 3 USD per side and 6 USD round turn on a 100,000 euro lot. Classic spreads start from 1.6 pips with a zero commission. A $2 Raw tier and a separate TradingView commission stayed off the pages that loaded, so the bar is the Europe Raw figure.
RelatedErrante EUR/USD Ticket Cost and the Contract Entity
On ic.com/en/start-forex-trading the Raw Spread table prints USD 3.50 per lot per side and USD 7.00 round turn, with spreads from 0.0 pips, beside a Standard account at zero commission and spreads from 0.8 pips. The regulation page names Raw Trading Ltd, Seychelles Financial Services Authority securities dealer licence SD018. The table lists MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and TradingView under that single commission. The spreads URL returned only a geo interstitial naming IC Markets (EU) Ltd, CySEC CIF 362/18, as a separate company, so the USD 7.00 figure stays with Raw Trading Ltd.
An INFINOX reading of STP spread cost versus an ECN commission is the same split StarTrader prints: Standard pushes cost into a 1.3 pip floor with a zero commission, and Prime prints USD 4 round turn beside a 0.0 floor. The all-in result still depends on the spread at the fill.
| Firm | Entity and licence opened | Tier and platform | Round turn, 1 standard FX lot |
|---|---|---|---|
| StarTrader | Prime figure on the brand page; 10% clause in Mauritius licence GB24203371 | Prime ECN, MT4, MT5, web and mobile | USD 4.00 |
| Tickmill | Tickmill Europe Ltd, CySEC 278/15 | Raw, EURUSD example on the EU raw page | USD 6.00 |
| Pepperstone | Pepperstone Group Limited, AFSL 414530 | Razor, cTrader | USD 6.00 |
| Pepperstone | Pepperstone Group Limited, AFSL 414530 | Razor, Pepperstone platform | USD 7.00 |
| Pepperstone | Pepperstone Group Limited, AFSL 414530 | Razor, TradingView | USD 7.00 |
| IC | Raw Trading Ltd, FSA Seychelles SD018 | Raw Spread, one figure for the platforms listed | USD 7.00 |
On commission alone, Prime’s USD 4 round turn is the low print. Pepperstone cTrader ties Tickmill Europe Raw at USD 6, and the Pepperstone platform, Pepperstone TradingView, and Raw Trading Ltd sit at USD 7. The ranking leaves out the spread, and it leaves out the activity test that removes the USD 4 rate after a missed window of five closes or USD 500,000 notional. Leverage on the opened pages is 1000 on the StarTrader sheet, up to 30:1 on Pepperstone’s Australian forex page, 1:30 in Tickmill’s EU example, and up to 1:5000 on IC’s start-forex page.
Which company holds the contract, and what are the strengths and the weak spots?
Registration assigns the entity by location. The regulation page opened on 1 November 2026 lists four licences. The UAE line is STARTRADER Global Financial Consultation & Financial Analysis, CMA Category 5, licence 20200000241, limited to introduction and promotion. South Africa is STARTRADER International Pty Ltd, FSCA FSP 52464, registration 2022/435897/07. Mauritius is STARTRADER Financial Markets Limited, investment dealer excluding underwriting, company 212229 GBC, FSC licence GB24203371. Seychelles is STARTRADER Limited, securities dealer, FSA licence SD049, registration 8427362-1.
The company page adds STARTRADER (CY) Limited, Cyprus HE421001, and states that this entity does not offer regulated financial products or provide trading services. Clause 5.1(d) sits in the Mauritius agreement for STARTRADER Financial Markets Limited, licence GB24203371. The USD 2 commission is on the brand Prime page and is absent from that PDF’s fee clause. Seychelles or South Africa onboarding is a different company from the one whose overnight clause was read.
The Axiory EUR/USD entity note walks the same matching of legal name to licence number. Strengths a reader can check are the stated USD 2 per side, the zero Standard commission on the currency pair, printed licence numbers, and clause 5.1(f) taking the swap and the 10% fee off a same-day round trip. Weak spots are the tenth of an unpublished swap, the blank middle-ECN dollar cell, the 0.0 floor beside an empty average, and the USD 10,000 balance plus USD 500,000 notional test. ASIC is absent from the English regulation page opened on 1 November 2026. The rating on this schedule is 3.3 out of 5.
What does the ticket cost, and which legal entity holds it?
A same-day Prime EUR/USD ticket, one standard lot, costs the spread plus USD 4 round turn. At the 0.0 floor the cash piece is USD 4, and each extra pip is about 10 US dollars on the product sheet’s point value. A Standard ticket on the same pair has a zero commission and a 1.3 pip floor, about 13 US dollars when the platform actually shows that floor. The middle ECN dollar cell stays blank.
An overnight Prime ticket adds the swap differential and a fee of up to 10% of that swap, both of them zero on a same-day round trip. The day’s EUR/USD points were unpublished on the website pages opened on 1 November 2026. A bank telegraphic transfer can add about USD 20, and that amount is a funding charge.
The holding company is assigned by location. The contract that states the 10% fee is STARTRADER Financial Markets Limited, Financial Services Commission of Mauritius, licence GB24203371. Seychelles SD049 and South Africa FSP 52464 are separate dealing entities on the same regulation page. The UAE Category 5 licence is introduction and promotion, and the Cyprus company stays outside the product offer. The USD 2 rate is a brand-page figure for Prime, and it stays only while the account meets the USD 10,000 balance and the 30-day activity test, on whichever company the application names.
The figures above are the ones printed on the cited URLs on 1 November 2026. Trading contracts for difference can consume the money placed on the account, and the licence that applies is the one named on the client’s own agreement.
