$0.149879 was the Initia price on CoinGecko at 07:07 UTC on 26 October 2026, a 1.37% fall over 24 hours, after Upbit designated INIT a trading-caution asset at 14:00 Korea Standard Time. The Upbit USDT-INIT book last traded at 0.5499 USDT at 05:25 UTC, against a previous close of 0.1999 USDT. That 0.5499 USDT figure is the Upbit book, not the CoinGecko spot, and it sits at about 3.67 times the global price.
The path into that morning makes the 1.37% fall easier to place. CoinGecko’s daily mark on 23 October was $0.129822, the 24 October mark was $0.149868, and the 25 October mark was $0.159465. The caution morning’s spot steps down from that nearby high and stays above the 23 October mark.
Transfers were already off
Upbit’s designation notice, posted at 14:00 KST on 26 October, cites Article 17, paragraph 1, item 마. It names a hacking or other security incident whose cause was still unidentified or unremedied, in an issuer or operator wallet or in the asset’s ledger, with harm to users possible. The pairs are INIT/BTC and INIT/USDT, and the window runs through 23 to 27 November. Any extension, or an end of trading support, would be a separate notice.
A separate notice at 00:57 KST on 24 October, ahead of the designation, suspended INIT deposits and withdrawals on the Initia network under Article 17, paragraph 2, item 나. A restart would restore withdrawals first. Deposits sent after the caution notice fall outside the credit process and are subject to return.
Initia’s own account had already said the chain was stopped. The post below is that 23 October halt notice, timed at 15:41:30 UTC.
As of Oct 23, 2026, 3:41:30 PM UTC, the Initia L1 and Rollups have been halted due to a security incident.

A later post at 08:46 UTC on 24 October said a MoveVM script-caching bug, exploited at 14:59 UTC on 23 October, let an attacker bridge out roughly $2.7 million before the halt, while native INIT supply stayed unchanged. TokenPost, published at 01:11 Eastern Time on 26 October, recorded that as of 17:52 Eastern Time on 23 October the project had not announced a restart date and had not published a final loss figure.
Two books on the same morning
USDT-INIT turned over 941.08 USDT on 2,192.56 INIT, from 0.1999 to 0.5999, and the last trade was still the 05:25 UTC print. BTC-INIT was still printing at 07:08 UTC. Both books carry Upbit’s warning flag and a global-price-difference flag. CoinGecko’s 24-hour range was $0.13905 to $0.166161, on $9,949,870 of volume. The Upbit percentages below are against each pair’s own previous close.

A venue notice and a global percentage can point different ways, as in Mantle’s move after the Reth switch notice and in Avalanche’s 7% decline after the Hanwha report.

What to watch
Upbit said an extension or an end of trading support would arrive as its own notice, and that withdrawals would return before deposits. Will Upbit lift the caution, extend the review, or end trading support before a withdrawal restart and a chain restart are both posted?
